<<Any Opinions About EMC Out There?>>

I was in EMC for a while recently, then pulled out to put more funds into QCOM and GMST. I was doing a combined EMC-NTAP play on the storage sector, which obviously has great prospects over the next few years. Both EMC and NTAP seemed excellent companies with excellent potential, kings of their respective areas perhaps, not competing directly at the moment but possibly down the road. I never heard anything but good news and recommendations about either company, and the basic logic of the play never lost its appeal. But it just seemed less lively and interesting than the primates discussed more frequently around here, so I left for greener pastures. Of course, the minute I did both shot up, which partly explains why I'm interested in improving my timing!

Anyhow, bottom line is that both EMC and NTAP struck me then and still strike me now as excellent long-term investments that will outperform the market for years to come. But they paled a bit in comparison to super-excellent investments like the Mighty Q.

PS for what it's worth, I found the Motley Fool's EMC board to be consistently excellent....
