The Future of Cable, by Steven Abernathy

Concurent Computer Corporation manufactures crucial hardware and software to make
video on demand possible. With VOD, you can call your cable service from home,
order any program or movie in its movie/video library and see it immediately-or at any
time you want. Its equipment is what cable operators must install for VOD to work.
Cable operators are just starting VOD buildouts - and Concurrents products are part of
the operators upgrades. Concurrent cable products are based on sophisticated
technology it developed for military use in war training. The pace of growth will be fast.
Concurrent which had $2.5 million in revenue from its real time business last year, will
have, we believe, almost $100 million in revenue by fiscal year 2001.

NASDAQ:CCUR Atlanta, Recent Share Price $6 11/16. Fiscal Year: June. Earnings
per share: 2001 estimate/$0.70...2000 estimate/$0.16....1999/($0.03).

Steven Abernathy is principal of The Abernathy Group. 20 Exchange PL.New York
10005, which has $180 million under management. For the five years through June 30,
1999, the firms annualized rate of return was 32.39 compared with 25.18 for the S&P
Index.
