DRAM's go on Allocation
I guess this answers my question to the thread on UCC.
While I read that Dell intends to use it's leverage to assure supply of parts, under allocation rules that's not so easy. Customers should be constrained to a percentage of scheduled backlog. This probably applies to all parts shortages out of Taiwan, including chip sets, MOBO's, etc.
Those company's on JIT may not have a buffer inventory to support the shortfall's.
This quarter should be interesting.
