Process Boy and thread, Intel might be very well positioned for the server farm market.

It appears Intel did partner with a network infrastructure company! Cool! (A network infrastructure company provides reduced Network costs and yields maximum reliability, both important to Intel as these are drivers to the Server farm industry).

Intel To Buy $200 Million in Williams Communications' Stock
Software Giant To Use Network for Data Services Transport
By Liz Montalbano
05/26/1999

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Intel Corp. (www.intel.com) signed an agreement May 25 to purchase $200 million in stock of Tulsa, Okla.-based Williams subsidiary Williams Communications Inc. (www.wilcom.com).

The deal, which Jonathan B. Haller, director, network and Internet services for Sterling, Va.-based Current Analysis Inc. (www. currentanalysis.com) likens to Microsoft Corp.'s (www.microsoft.com) investment in Qwest Communications International Inc. (www.qwest.net), makes Williams "a transport facility for Intel's grand e-business plan. .... Williams Communications will become a provider of network transport for nationwide web-hosting computer centers that Intel's new Internet Data Services business is constructing."
