MGJ: Re: "What is your stock-bond-cash allocation at present in percentage terms?"

As of this morning, I am 65% long; 25% short; 10% cash. My asset allocation can change very quickly. I have been known in the past few weeks to call in the margin man heavily for some trades on the short side in high tech. I have no desire to use margin on the long side at this point. I have no problem being both short and long as I believe I can be both and be right at different times in this market.

I sit here with a calendar in hand. And when one of my long tech. positions becomes a LTCG, it is sold without regret.

I have no bonds. I have been contemplating a move to bonds as I am approaching that age but I hesitate. I believe I can trade to a better return if I am so inclined.
