Clariti Telecommunications International Appoints Michael H. Jordan Co-Vice Chairman Of The Company's Board of Directors
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1999--Clariti Telecommunications International, Ltd. (OTC: CLRI - news; ''Clariti'') today announced it has appointed Michael H. Jordan, age 63, as the Co-Vice Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, increasing the Board of Directors to nine members.
Mr. Jordan currently serves as Chairman of Luminant Worldwide Corporation, a leading provider of Internet and electronic commerce professional services. Mr. Jordan is also serving as the Chairman of eOriginal Inc., an e-commerce company that provides authentic and secure Electronic Original(TM) documents, which serves as a legal alternative to blue-ink signed original paper documents.
Prior to joining Clariti's board, Mr. Jordan served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS - news), formerly Westinghouse Electric Corporation, a position which he held for over five years. Before joining Westinghouse, Mr. Jordan was a partner with Clayton, Dubilier and Rice, a private investment firm based in New York City. Mr. Jordan also rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo International during his 18-year career with the global bottler. Additionally, Mr. Jordan served for ten years as a consultant and principal with McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm.
Mr. Jordan is a member of the President's Export Council, for which he chairs the Subcommittee on Export Administration. In addition, Mr. Jordan is a member and former Chairman of the U.S. Japan Business Council, an organization for improved business and economic relations between the two countries. He is Chairman of The College Fund/UNCF, and Chairman of the Policy Board of the Americans for the Arts. Furthermore, Mr. Jordan serves as a Board Member for Dell Computer Corporation, Aetna Inc., MarketWatch.com, and WireBreak Networks, Inc.
