Sam and Thread, The final points I wanted to make regarding the c.c. are: 1) Eli mentioned that the Toshiba/SanDisk joint venture will produce the first "component/TSOP product" that SanDisk has made. I did not know what that meant and may have misinterpreted his comments. 2) NOR and NAND flash wafers will be manufactured for different niches. NOR has a very competitive cost structure and high endurance rating. These products are particularly well-suited for industrial/computer based applications. He describes the SanDisk NOR products as attaining a level of "excellence" that they will strive to recreate in other product lines. The NAND and NAND MLC products are better suited for audio and video consumer applications because of file sizes and less of an emphasis on endurance, although the endurance ratings are acceptable for the applications targeted.
