Biometrics Dutch Auction? IDX doesn't have the resources to make scanners and give them away, so they are doing the next best thing - they are driving the cost of the hardware (scanners) toward zero where they will be able to give them away. Until then there are many individuals and corporations that will jump into this biometrics dutch auction and buy the scanner well before the hardware price reaches zero. As I have maintained before, widespread availability of a good password bank will go a long way toward selling scanners.
