"is he crazy?" No, he isn't. Stockholm and Helsinki are cool places. Serioulsy, it makes sense. Please bear with me: Inside a GSM there is a SIM card. authentication and security built in. (GSM was ahead of its time.) Imagine all the stuff we can do with our terminals. Why should we pay parking fees going to a machine? Why should we buy train tickets? Just clever software and neat applications. ERICY and NOK are good from the mobile switching center (MSC) out all tha way to the base station. CSCO is good from the MSC all the way into the Internet. It is the e-commerce over the air interface. It is a pity for ERCY that CSCO partner IBM got already in bed with NOK.
