Very True - After selling to lock in a nice gain, (which I suppose is relative to where you bought in), and waiting for a pull back, very, very hard if you miss it for whatever reason, and the stock runs past your previous sell point...or never pulls back.
Gotta admit though, that sometimes it does work. Just have to be selective with stock and sector you're playing with, and plain lucky. For example, jumped in, out and back in, to Imclone Pharm. (imcl). Kicked myself for selling at $28 and watched it run to $32-$34. Then out of left field, another company filed a patent infringement lawsuit and stock skidded back down to $20-$22, where I picked my shares back up again. Sometimes life is like that. You know. Like a box of chocolates! Just don't eat any of the ones that have a bitter taste inside. Course, to find out, you have to bite into one!
Good luck. Peter. |
