Jdaasoc or anyone, at the Intel Developer Forum Intel gave Camino transition guidelines. Intel said that the main focus for the transition was the 2 RIMM + 2 DIMM solution. They said a single board can take Rambus RIMMs or standard PC100 DIMMs. This sounds like the cc820 board doesn't it? With well over a month since the IDF when Intel was pushing the 2RIMM+2DIMM solution (with the MTH chip)I am at a slight loss as to what is really going on. From what I understand, the Camino problem only manifests itself in certain 3RIMM configurations under maximum stress tests. I guess the 3RIMM is the Vancouver board. I don't see why Intel can't bring out their "main focus" 2+2 solution soon. If Intel has problems with this too, then they really have their heads up their a@@. What was the idea of the 3RIMM solution to begin with when Intel was pushing the 2+2 to "manage the transition" to RDRAM? Any thoughts/comments, Doug
