Clariti Telecommunications International Appoints Ronald R. Grawert to the Company's Board of Directors

Increases Board of Directors to Nine Members

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 11, 1999-- Clariti Telecommunications International, Ltd. (OTC: CLRI - news; ``Clariti') today announced it has appointed Mr. Ronald R. Grawert, age 50, to the Company's Board of Directors. This appointment increases the Board of Directors to nine members. Mr. Grawert currently serves as Clariti's Chief Executive Officer, a position that he has held since his appointment in June of this year.

Mr. Grawert brings to the Board of Directors over 25 years of telephony industry experience. He has worked with a wide array of telecommunications companies throughout his career. Before joining Clariti, Mr. Grawert served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mobilemedia Communications, Inc., one of the largest-paging companies in the United States. Mr. Grawert was responsible for Mobilemedia's rapid improvement in operating performance which resulted in the substantial improvement in its financial results and led to the Company's merger with Arch Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCH - news).

Prior to Mobilemedia, Mr. Grawert held the position of Executive Vice President of GTE Mobilnet, which was the surviving company from the GTE Mobilnet merger with Contel Cellular, Inc. At the time, Mobilnet, currently known as GTE Wireless, was the fourth largest cellular carrier in the United States, with revenues exceeding $2.5 billion.
