Clariti Telecommunications International Appoints Three New Board Members
Increases Board of Directors to Nine Members
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1999--Clariti Telecommunications International, Ltd. (OTC: CLRI - news; ``Clariti') today announced it has appointed Mr. Hans Georg Hinderling, Mr. Chester John Hunt, and Mr. Abe Carmel to its Board of Directors.
These appointments increase the Board of Directors to nine members. Mr. Hinderling, age 55, has been practicing law at his own law firm since 1981 specializing in corporate and tax law, and transitional transactions. He is a member of the American Society of International Law, the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, the Harvard Club of Switzerland and the Royal Society for the encouragement of Art, Manufacture & Commerce. From 1975 to 1981 Mr. Hinderling was a Partner in the Law firm of Schultheiss Bockli, Basel. He has a Doctorate in Law from Basile University in Basile, Switzerland and a Masters Degree from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Mr. Hunt, age 30, is the Chief Executive Officer of Hippo Holdings Limited, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of golf equipment in the U.K. and Europe and is responsible for the operating and financial turnaround of the Company from 1996 to present. He is a director of AutoZones 2000 Limited, singing Hills Golf Course Limited and Middlesex Business Centre Estate Company Limited. Prior to joining Hippo Holdings, Mr. Hunt held sales management positions at Automotive Financial Group Limited, where he implemented new operating policies which resulted in improved group profitability. In addition, he was a Dealer Principal of RBS Garages' main dealership, where he also converted a losing operation into a profitable business.
Mr. Abe Carmel, age 66, is a principal in the international investment banking consultancy of Carmel Associates, which is based in Washington, DC and Israel. The firm specializes in the financing and marketing of high technology and telecom projects. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of DataWave Systems, Inc. and sits on the Board of Directors of SportsPrize Entertainment, Inc. and Atlantic Communications International Limited. Mr. Carmel was a Founder and the President of Great American Exploration and a Founder and the Chairman of Oil Field Systems Corp., both of which were engaged in the investment in oil and gas exploration. Combined, these two organizations invested more than $270 million in exploratory and development wells in the United States. Mr. Carmel has a Bachelor of Science with High Honors (Valedictorian) from the University of Louisville Business School and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
