BGR, simply put, it's a tale of two markets...one, the big cap growth stocks which are priced for the hereafter, and the other one all the rest which topped out in April '98. this is a sure sign that the whole bull market is going to end soon, or has ended already. i recommend looking at past divergences of the indices and the a/d line after extended bull runs...they always resolve in the same manner. you have been warned...:) hb
