I don't like shooting them. They are cute critters but they spread round worm and do real damage to the cats. One I didn't mind shooting cost me $250. I use .22 cb caps that don't spook the horses or go through and damage the building. One to the head will do it but they go spastic and blood goes everywhere so I have to shoot them in the lungs several times instead. That takes about 20 seconds but it seems forever. God only knows what it feels like to the coons.
