Just a guess, but I noticed USW went ex-dividend on 6 October, and it could be that the holders who want income rather than growth are leaving rather than waiting to see if they get the Spring USW dividend.

Which raises another question: Why is QWST going to pay a quarterly dividend of $0.0125 after the closing of the merger? At today's close, that's an annual return (assuming 4 qrtrly pymts) of 0.158+%. Hardly seems worth it.

Just my long term (two consecutive qrtr) opinion.
