Dave - I'm sure we'd have seen the realease if NTT has actually paid up.

I disagree. First, Qualcomm doesn't always announce new licensees. There have been multiple occasions when they have mentioned in the conference call that there were several license fees embedded in the 'royalties' for the quarter, but there had been no announcements in that same quarter. Second, it isn't obvious to me that NTT themselves actually need a license since they are primarily a service provider. Other companies actually build most (all?) of their hardware, and especially if some of those vendors were already Q licensees we would be unlikely to see any announcement of W-CDMA licenses.

PS I agree with you that the announcement that I pointed to is not a guarantee of a license agreement, but given the above I think it is a pretty good indicator. FWIW.
