JW and thread -
I would like to see technical analysis applied to the roulette wheel at lets say any well run Las Vegas casino anyone would care to suggest.
..............................................................

JW can speak for himself, but when I go to Vegas one of my favorite things to do is walk around the roulette wheels and look for tables where the numbers have not been hitting a particular 1/3 of the board. When I find one that has not hit 1-12 let's say, Ill put a bet on that third, usually if it does not hit I'll double till it does. It works quite well, and is nothing more than using behavior of the past to predict behavior in the future.
One thing about TA that does not get said enough (or is simply not heard) is that NEWS, a fundamental change to the story of the stock will alter future behavior. Of course with QCOM all the news has been so good I think Jim would agree the majority of the volatility of this stock is the comings and goings of everpresent short-term traders and announcements by numbskull analyst. J-dub?
Hope that helps.
