C,

<<He suffered greatly>>

Why? Because he was perfect - the best man on earth. Let that be a lesson to us all.

In a wager with Satan, God tests Job's faith by killing Job's ten children, taking away all of his herds, and covering him with "loathsome sores" from head to foot.

My point in asking you if you had read Job was to point out that God performed brutal acts to this man and his family that you would never dream of doing to your children.

<<His ways, which are beyond the power of man to understand>>

I certainly don't understand the ways of a God that broke his own commandment. There should have been an eleventh commandment: Do as I say, not as I do.

<<the Lord blessed his life twofold. His wealth was restored, and he had many children>>

Small recompense for those first ten children.
