Terrence:
I am not insensitive, but would like to point out that a non-realistic philosophy, one built on unreality such as that contained in Christianity, drives many young people to drinking, drugs, psychological problems, even suicide.
You see, the more you accept the immoral idea that the self is worthless, the self is evil, the self must be sacrificied -- what is the logical conclusion to be drawn from such illogical premises?
What a warped view of Christianity. If man was so worthless as you say, why did God redeem us? Our worth is found in the Creator. We aren't worthless. Read Psalm 139:14-16.
