Re : Some even seem to use the thread to "kick the cat" meaning that, by the time they get here, they are so frustrated with the rest of the day that they just lash out at someone ... This is definitely off topic, but -- here goes ... I once heard from someone I knew who worked producing "trashy" stuff for TV that the secret of a lot of the idiotic (but wildly successful) stuff on TV is to satisfy this whole "kick the cat" need.
