I do not have offending columns at my finger tips, but was following the whole thing in both magazines, and I think that Buckley did the right thing. I cannot say about Bozell and Rothbard, having only a dim idea of them, but Wills? If Buckley broke with him first (I thought it was the other way around, but I really don't know), good for him!
