The lack of thread activity is in parallel to this area.... all the sheep going about the day thinking that by ignoring Y2K it will make it go away... there was an article in sundays paper here about how many foreign countries are doomed and in for big big trouble --but of course we here in conceited America are A-OK ...
How in the world seemingly intelligent people can read that the rest of the world is in for a mess and that it will not affect us when NOTHING is made in the USA anymore is beyond reason. At the very least economic disaster looms --and that is about the best case scenario. Hoping cheeky is right won't make it so...

My idea of Y2K planning is NOT waiting for a Red Cross or FEMA gymnasium to be readied in 72 hrs. Many people may think there is safety in numbers but the truth is disease and sickness is what will come from that mess.
I guess such self reliance goes against the grain of the Socialist mentality that has finally overtaken this nation in last 15 years or so.
