Hi Gary,

Sorry it took so long to reply, but I had a very busy day and early evening.

Re: Red-C:

First, it seems obvious to me that this product was intended to match the features of the Redback product, then add more attractive capabilities. The RBAK has no voice at all, and not even WRED and WFQ. Their subscriber management capabilities are inferior to Red-C as well. Several other areas have significant improvements when compared to RBAK.

Re: PPPoA, they do have it on this box - at least they have RFC 2364, PPP over AAL5 (ATM adaption Layer5), which may be what you are referring to, I think. Also their voice support has more than just H.323. Their Qos has more than just WRED and WFQ too. For a more detailed comparison, see this post:

RBAK has sold 1000 units in a year, and the MRVC product is a much stronger product, so it should be quite marketable in it's current state, IMO.

Regarding RSVP and Diffserv, I understand they have both of these on their new Zuma box. Aranea doesn't provide enough detail to be sure there. If they need them on the Red-C box, I'm sure they can be added.

You didn't comment on the NAC MetroFusion technology. I'm curious what you think of it.
