Hello!

In reply to your message...

Intel hasn't performed since the pentium flaw was "discovered".. or should I say made public.

The workstation market is tiny in comparison to the general purpose microprocessor and support chip market. I don't see workstation class sales having much impact on the total sales for Intel.

The major upgrade cycle coming is the question I put forward in
the last message I posted. I believe they will have to continueto lower the cost of their overdrive processors to keep pace with their competition.

The potential of the internet has excited wall street in the
past, and I suppose it will continue to in the future.
Having been in the business of cable-based telecommunications the past 10 years, I'll let you in on a little secret. When the amount of bandwidth to the consumer's computer stops increasing then the release of innovative new technologies will slow. When people get bored with old stuff, and can't find anything new then the press will begin to focus on porn, ripoffs, and the rest of the bad stuff.

Intel may gambling that release of "subsystem products" will excite the news media in the future. I think they're too late. I can't say any more without getting in trouble.
