The most convincing liars can look one in the eyes and swear on the Bible, on the death of their children or whatever.

I read recently that the outstanding human quality, seen no-where else in the animal kingdom, is the ability to lie. The US President, the most powerful man in the world, seems to have been chosen on just that ability. In fact, he is probably the most powerful liar in the world.
