Okay, I guess we can come out of the closet. We've been accumulating AMCC for several months and used Santa's (oops I mean Westmont's bonehead call - he should join the hall of shame with ML's Osha) to pick up more.

AMCC makes me feel like I did when we first started buying PMCS. Similar transition story, broad product range, high margins, great design momentum, high R&D expenditures (almost as high as PMC) and what seems like very good mgmt.

The majority of the revs now are coming from design wins 1-2 years ago. With almost 30 new products in the last six months, I like the rev picture looking out the next 2 years.

In addition, like PMC, they are moving up the board. Framers and mappers from Cimeron, move them further into the digital domain and into higher ASPs. And SiGe 192? - they are where the telco backbone is going.

Haven't changed any perspective on PMC - own more of it than ever. But I like diversification within the sector and AMCC could be the little brother that follows his big brother into the big leagues.
