LINKING CRITICAL CHECKFREE APL DATA SETS TO DYNAMIC Front-Office Application for Enhanced Relationship Management ATLANTA, Oct 12, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- CheckFree Investment Services announced today it has signed a joint marketing agreement with BlackBook Software, Inc., New York-based developers of relationship management and billing applications for the money management community. CheckFree Investment services along with CheckFree APL and CheckFree APL WRAP represent the first name in outsourcing of automated investment management, trading, portfolio performance and reporting systems. As part of this new arrangement, CheckFree APL's client base of money managers will have the option to utilize BlackBook's desktop applications to leverage their all important marketing and prospecting efforts, increase productivity, and enhance client maintenance. "Integrating CheckFree APL client data sets to BlackBook at the manager or broker desktop, represents one of many avenues we will pursue to address the informational needs of our money management client base, and to also make CheckFree Investment Services an all- encompassing service," said the company's Senior Vice President, James K. Investment professionals will have 24 manager reports available at their fingertips, including consultant and customer profiles, account won/loss information and account listings by broker, custodian, consultant, etc. BlackBook Software, which is written in Visual Basic and uses either Microsoft SQL or Microsoft Access as a data base will complement INFODEX, CheckFree APL's own contact management system.
