Isaac Bruce is the best WR the Falcons have faced in the last 5 years. He is completely unguardable. Even when the Rams had Tony Banks, who was a horrible QB, Bruce would torch us. I doubt Chandler will play, and without him we have little chance, because you have to score to beat the Rams. Our entire LB corps is probably sidelined. We will be more competitive because it's at home and it's revenge, but the Rams are the best team in the NFL.
The MNF crew intimated last night that Parcells let Glenn Foley go as a personell decision, not a salary cap decision. They used the term "personality conflict". Big mistake on Parcells' part.
I was thinking the same thing about Mirer: since he's so dumb and has good legs, he should have been scrambling occasionally.
The Jags D sure looks good, eh? Dom Capers is doing a good job. Also, they have totally retooled their secondary. Last year, they drafted a SS, and this a CB, both of whom look very good. Combined with the Carnell Lake signing, and the secondary is suddenly very athletic. Too bad the offense has gone in the tank. <g>
