"It is not ILLOGICAL for God to perform a miracle"
well, actually it is not a miracle to Him. I'm quite sure He knows How he does it. But that does not make it a Logical happening for my small mind. Following your arguements I could easily join a cult or neo-nazi organization. You only say that it is because it is, you do not explain it at all.
Defined: Miracle - an event in the external world brought about by the immediate agency or the simple volition of God, operating without the use of means capable of being discerned by the senses, and designed to authenticate the divine commission of a religious teacher and the truth of his message (John 2:18; Matt. 12:38). It is an occurrence at once above nature and above man. It shows the intervention of a power that is not limited by the laws either of matter or of mind, a power interrupting the fixed laws which govern their movements, a supernatural power.
emphasis added to show that it is not only a violation of natural law, but of mental LOGIC as well.
The prayer we use and give to God is not/should not be for results we want, but rather that His will be done. This is the only reason He performs miracles anyway, so it would be illogical to pray for any other reason.
And scripture is purposely vague. You know that. I think you are simply being coy. It often has different meaning to different people. So, logically, if it does mean different things, it follows that it CAN have different meanings.
And who said it was according to our imagination? It IS ALWAYS according to our experiences of God. How He has revealed Himself to us.
