After watching his daughter Monica get publicly humiliated for trysting with President Bill Clinton, Dr. Bernard Lewinsky's now horrified that her name might become an acceptable TV moniker for the oral sex act.
On last week's episode of the NBC drama ''Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,'' a character described an oral sex act as ''getting a Lewinsky.'' Dr. Lewinsky is demanding an apology from producer Dick Wolf, Universal and NBC, along with a promise to cease and desist.
''The point behind my outrage is that there is a family behind this name, and I think it's disgusting they would even consider saying something like that,'' said the oncologist. ''Why don't they say he got a Clinton job, rather than use my name, and see how the White House responds to that?''
While Monica has been the butt of television barbs in such venues as Jay Leno monologues and ''Saturday Night Live'' skits, Dr. Lewinsky feels that making his name a lewd lexicon is going too far: ''There are probably millions of executives and presidents and CEOs that have been so serviced, if you want to call it that, and there's no need to label that act by something brought to the media by Linda Tripp.'' |
