Yes, Art moderne is modern, (duh) but it has form, unlike the post-modern junk we see. Moderne is smooth and harmonious, post-modern is sharp and jaggedy. I bought a bathrobe still in its box at an antique store. The box says its a lounging robe. I think its from the 20's. When I put that robe on and hang around my office listening to a tune by the Harlem Hamfats or the Onyx Club Boys, I'm time travellin baby. I'm there.
