A good question to ask before you buy "What do you think you see or know that no one else does to buy at this price (i.e. if everyone else has the same knowledge or insight then thats already priced in) My best trades have been when I have benn close to the stock and rode out the ups and downs and the reason I bought came to fruition - very rewarding when that happens..I buy because either 1)I think I have evaluated the technology better, 2)Understand the market space better. 3)have "public but not common" knowledge (the best kind of insight)or 4) and this happens too much..I get a "hot tip" from someone I know - these rarely work out...
