interestingly, i recently reinstalled ie4.0 (i'm not yet sold on 5.0, sorry) and i decided to add on outlook express while i was at it. all i can say is that my pc's performance took a turn for the worse almost immediately. everything from sluggishness to invalid page faults began to occur and increase. some of us keep a close eye on what components we add or subtract from our systems. the correlation was just too great for me to not notice. so i invited outlook express (and a few of the other ie4.0 browser add-ons) to leave. <g3>

things have returned to normal around the old pc homestead since then. call it coincidence or call it directly related. doesn't matter to me. i drew my own conclusions and outlook express got gone.

:)
