PJ..Thanks, I know what both you and Toy are getting at. I'm just not convinced your way is the best way for NDS to obtain critical mass.

1. Just because it is free doesn't change its utility. I can have a free spreadsheet application but I choose to buy one. Why would anyone pay Red Hat for Linux?
2. Spend a billion advertising to make NDS a household name. Why? Does the fourth grade elementary teacher care about NDS or Active Directory? Do the students? How about users of AOL's Instant Communicator? No. I hope we choose a marketing director smarter than that.

I agree with the approaches ES has taken, eg Whitman Hart. Will critical mass be achieved that way? Maybe, maybe not, but it is a strategy and that can work.
