Allen's Vulcan Invests $25 Million in AIDS-Vaccine Developer Vaxgen (VXGN) smartmoney.com AIDS-vaccine manufacturer Vaxgen Inc. Tuesday said it has completed a $25 million placement of common shares with Vulcan Ventures Inc. ... Vaxgen said it would use the proceeds to expand its HIV-vaccine research. It plans to develop vaccines for HIV strains found in different parts of the world in order to formulate one vaccine for general use.
