Ish, I was born in the pacific northwest. My father, grandfather, and uncles would hunt, and we had venison for many of our meals. I don't think I ever had beef until I moved to southern California. We had salmon in Alaska that would melt in your mouth. It's a good thing they never let us children around when they were butchering the meat. I still have a taste for venison, but I'm glad I never saw the process of preparing the meat. And unless you've had fresh salmon from Cook Inlet, you don't know what your missing.
Talking about all of this food is making me hungry! No wonder, it's 8:30 and I haven't had dinner yet.

Guess I'll go nuke something in the microwave. Just ain't the same, isn't it.
