Subscription requests

All subscription or unsubscription requests should be mailed either to:

omega-list-request@eskimo.com

or to:

omega-digest-request@eskimo.com

depending on whether you want to subscribe or unsubscribe to/from
the real-time list or the digest version of the list. The content
of both lists is the same, but the digest is sent roughly once a day.

In your mail's Subject: line, say either subscribe or unsubscribe.

You will be asked to confirm your intention to subscribe, to prevent
your being maliciously subscribed to unwanted lists.

You will be removed from the list or digest immediately upon receipt
of an unsubscribe request. You will receive a notice saying you have
been unsubscribed; no further action is necessary.

To change your subscription from the list to the digest, unsubscribe
yourself from the list, and resubscribe to the digest.

Please note, you will receive a note saying you were not removed from
the list if you are subscribed to the digest and try to unsubscribe
from the list.

Do not send multiple (un)subscription or info requests in one mail. Only one
will be processed per mail.

NOTE: The -request server usually does quite a good job in discriminating
between (un)subscribe requests and messages intended for the maintainer.
If you'd like to make sure a human reads your message, make it look
like a reply (i.e. the first word in the Subject: field should be "Re:",
without the quotes of course); the -request server does not react to
replies.

Posting articles to the digest:

You must address your articles to omega-list@eskimo.com,
NOT to omega-digest@eskimo.com.

If you must post an article to the list from an account other than
the one your subscription is sent to, add a

Reply-To:

line to your posting's email header, so the server will know who you are.

folder, via ftp from: ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/j/jimo/
in the file: digests. A list of the digest numbers in the digests
file is in the file: dindex.
