Vixel is the only game out there with a product that spans the whole SAN sector. This sector needs industry standards. Management is the key in Information Technology and SAN Insite by Vixel blows the rest away. With snmp support for products like HP OpenView and CA Unicenter why choose another vendor. As far as the bad boards go there is not one OEM who has not had an entire production run fail. There are too many variables involved so if one component is off the whole board is off. Get your flux capacitor out of your a**. Brocade and Gadzoox, provide single point-device managers for either hub or fabric switch products, but not across multiple devices, including fabric switches, hubs and transceivers. Let's see now I can look at ten different screens or one. I do this for a living and my life is complicated enough. I rely on early warning signs to keep mission critical systems online. With the growing need for SAN's I need a single point of management.
