When Tom brought in x-big-guns from SAP and others several months ago, I felt a lot better about the Siebel organization. The home-grown team was ok, but not ready for the big leagues IMO. I'm no longer working with Siebel (graduated to VNTV.... er, PSFT), so I don't know if Tom is actually letting someone else make decisions. I should email a couple of my buddies over there and see what they think. I'm looking forward to this q's earnings. I would like to see revenue around ASP deals. Siebel was a leader in heading in this direction. I think this has a lot of potential (esp with SFA), but I still don't quite believe some of the market projections that I've read. In the Internet age,why do companies still need their own servers, networks and support staff??... It will take a while for this IT guy to accept this notion completely. Siebel's valuation gives it a ton of currency to do a lot of exciting things in and around CRM. I'm enjoying the ride.
