Guys, I have to vent a little bit here. What totally frustrates me is the fact that of late MSFT stock has not done much due to its DOJ battles, anti trust concerns, lack of Inet visibility, etc. On top of that, they come out and try to do a little bit of everything to play catch up in the Inet arena. They battle SUNW on Java, they battle AOL with MSN, - alittle bit of this, a little bit of that. Nothing that they have been truly able to call a success. Dont get me wrong - I am not faulting Gates, Ballmer & co for trying. I mean these are the guys who totally missed the boat on the Internet a couple of years ago and then it was remarkable to see a company this size refocus. But the refocus is losing its lustre and vision. On top of that, Ballmer comes out and makes this statement about overvaluation of the tech sector even MSFT. WHat the heck was he thinking? Are they just jealous having watched SUNW, ORCL, CSCO, and the Inets execute brilliantly - something that you can very well see in their stock prices. I mean MSFT is up what only 80% while the above mentioned are up 200-300%. MSFT has to decide what it really wants to be. Come on, MSFT, you guys seem to be losing your edge. Where is that edge, that fighting spirit, that vision?
