Too many Internet businesses are run under the mistaken belief that profitability doesn't matter so their business models are build on a premise of spending. This is all well and good until the flow of capital stops and they plummet back to earth.

Exactly my point....the flow of capital is already strong due to the "stickyness" of our wonderful sites and acquistions and the stockpile of $$$ is huge right now thanks to PA. So why not spend a little on ads to support the sales staff. I'm not talking about a 30 second clip at the Superbowl here people, but maybe a billboard at the new Seahawks stadium and the Rose Garden in Portland. (I'll bet we could cut a deal with the owner <g>).
What bothers me is that I live in Seattle area and even people around here that use the net have never heard of go2net. Since this area is the "goldrush" region of .com, you'd think that at least a local ad campaign would be appropriate.

Rtev's statements are on the mark IMO.
