Nancy, I have accounts with TWE, Datek and DIR. Here are what I think w.r.t. short availability. TWE: Availability 60%, since most customers are buy and hold investors. Bad: No BBs or under $5 short allowed Datek: Forget it. DIR: Availability 70%. Allows BBs and under $5 shorts. Drawback: $20 per 1000sh compared to $12 under 5000sh at TWE. Hope this helps,
