Clariti IP Services is Selected by Q Comm International, Inc. to Provide Service for Phone Cards
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 13, 1999--Clariti Telecommunications International, Ltd. (OTC:CLRI) ("Clariti") today announced that its business unit, Clariti IP Services has signed an agreement with Orem, Utah based Q Comm International, Inc. (OTC:QCCM) ("Q Comm"), to provide Q Comm's phone card services.
Under the terms of the agreement, Clariti IP is providing Q Comm with telecommunications services for customers to place domestic and international calls over Clariti IP's global IP (Internet Protocol) network. Card users will be able to call Clariti IP's customer service via a toll-free number to recharge their cards and add additional phone time.
Q Comm is one of the fastest-growing prepaid telecommunications companies in the U.S. and manages a nationwide network of thousands of value-added resellers and retailers. It has established distribution channels and has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, which it plans to leverage in its goal to become a major player in the markets for prepaid phone cards and prepaid wireless phone services.
These markets are among the fastest-growing segments in the telecommunications industry. The Yankee Group, an independent researcher, estimates that by the year 2002, the prepaid phone card market will grow to over $4.3 billion, and that the prepaid wireless market will grow to $20 billion.
