ISRI NR this morning....
Here is the DD so far:

International Star, Inc (OTCBB-ISRI)
Share Data:

O/S: 27M, 13M Restricted, 6M Restricted Shares held by insiders?
Float: 8M, 5-6M of these free-trading shares are held by insiders and folks
supposedly close to the company. This leaves 2-3M shares tradable which is
why the stock moves so quickly on volume.

January 15, 2000 is due date for filing. ISRI has retained a firm from
Salt Lake City, UT to complete the audit and filings.

In a bad OTCBB environment, ISRI has moved quitely up to the .50 level? this
stock came by way of a technical scan for stocks near or at 52 week highs.
This is important in my opinion. While most of the stocks on the OTCBB have
been tanking all summer, ISRI has moved higher. See this chart:
bigcharts.com

International Star has two businesses? the old business is in precious metal
mining. They own a 4 acre tract on the Colorado River that may work out
someday? maybe.

The most exciting thing ISRI has going on is in the business of GPS for
automobiles. This AVLIS system is highlighted in this news release:
bigcharts.com

From the NR:

"AVL stands for "AUTOMATIC VEHICLE LOCATION" and uses GPS "GLOBAL POSITIONING
SATELLITES" as the basis for determining asset location in real time.

National Business Correspondents on 700 Club and CNBC have reported recently
that GPS systems will receive such consumer acceptance that by the year 2003
most vehicle and cell phones in North America will have a GPS chip installed.

Unlike other companies in the GPS tracking industry, AVLIS offers the
flexibility to design and implement technology to fit individual and
specific needs, often using an existing computer system through AVLIS
integration technology. The system can be further designed to monitor
up to 128 events that are specific to the client's type of business. It
has been successfully installed and field tested using existing radio
systems.

Phase II of testing (to begin shortly) will be using an improved and
updated version of the unit tested. The updated version will be smaller
in size and self-contained for ease of installation and use. It will have
the flexibility of switched circuit cellular communication to maintain the
strongest signal link.

Encouraged by the initial testing, International Star Inc. and AVLIS have
agreed to terms of a marketing agreement now being prepared. International
Star Inc. will market the units under the registered name QWIKTRACK(R).
Marketing strategy is to focus on wholesale, retail, monitoring and Internet
sale through the company's web site QWIKTRACK.COM. Customer support and
training will be provided through AVLIS technical teams."

From the 5 Oct NR:
"The QWIKTRACK(R) system will appeal to the budget-minded consumer trying to
protect the family auto and loved ones at an affordable price. To the
high-end commercial user, the AVL unit protects loads, equipment, and
professional drivers by utilizing real time status reporting. Vehicle
location, miles driven, speed, load weight, and engine performance on a
non-stop continual reporting function are unique features offered by the
system."

This system will be available via a web site which will use www.qwiktrac.com as
the URL... this web site is being developed now so that the unit will be
available for purchase through the site.

In the coming weeks, ISRI will announce financing to take this system forward...
this will involve some shares that will be restricted for one year. ISRI does
not actually own the system (AVLIS), they have an agreement to market the
system under their own brand name. This is effective from the standpoint that
they do not have to go deep in debt to acquire the company that makes the
system.

- They are in negotiations with a major distributor that has 2500 outlets
nationwide... Today, I was told this distributorship has been finalized...
the 5 Oct NR covered most of it.
Addtionally, another distributorship is being negotiated in the Middle East
(UAE)(5 Oct NR) and... they now have the endorsement of the National Towing
Alliance which covers 200K towtrucks nationwide.

- They are in process of buying a privately owned company... again details
not available due to insider info. All I was told was that the company would
provide a very good cash flow.

- The company has been working hard to get the AVLIS system out
there and get testing done? they will continue to release news as developments
happen.

- Finally, the company will change their name to QWIKTRAC.COM and change the
ticker as well.

This is not a recommendation to buy this stock... please do your own DD and
make your own decisions.
