I've been lurking and learning since the mid 4,000, and was so fascinated that I spent two long weekends (sending my Tokyo phone bill up to staggering heights) backtracking and absorbing many of the earlier posts, then bought the M. I was extremely impressed with the framework GM and company constructed, and equally impressed with the way the thread has put it into practice--thoughtfully, carefully, and with a dash of tolerance and humor. (Note the *T-word*.) GG seems to be just what I was looking for--a game plan for a solid core holding (mature gorillas such as MSFT, CSCO, and INTC) along with a chance for stellar gains in budding gorillas such as Q. And a lucid framework that explains *why* one should buy and hold onto these muscled primates. Aside from the potential monetary gains, the tracking and hunting itself is fascinating. With that in mind, I thought I'd ask if anyone has been following ELON. While I have done my own admittedly haphazard DD on this, I am far from expert (bumbling amateur sounds about right). What intrigues me about the company, in the context of the GG game, is that it appears as if ELON is being *groomed* for gorilladom. Is this possible? While GM says a company cannot choose to be a G, I wonder if two Gs couldn't birth one? At present, ELON is no more than a primate in vitro (if that), but I wonder about its future-- particularly with CSCO as a doting mother and MSFT as a tolerant but distant father:

(both are Oct 13 company press releases on Yahoo Finance under the ELON stock quote)
Assuming there is more to ELON than a pebble's sheen, I would be curious to hear comments from anyone here with more experience, a keen eye for contenders, and thoughts on the possibility of primate "parenting." |
