wow!!!! all LONGS MUST READ THIS!!!
i sent an email to eileen isola, the director of pr for garden.com, she is very nice, and this is the email that she sent back, no b.s., her
exact words from the body of the email, dated 10/13/99:

thanks for your e-mail and good questions. the fact is that we literally JUST got out of the quiet period yesterday and are about to blast
the market with all the great stuff going on here in
a major effort -- from press releases to video news releases to individualized pitching to a multi-city post IPO tour and on and on!! In
fact, our earnings release will be the week of the
28th! I think I'm more excited than anyone! Anyway, in the meantime, we certainly have other things coming down the pike, for
instance, we're expecting an article in Time Magazine this
week as well as inclusion in another Business Week story and one in Forbes later too. I can't give you specifics quite yet, but I can tell
you that there is certainly no bad news amongst
the lot. keep watching in the next few weeks --
