Heavens to Clarent!!
Just for posterity's sake, I'd like to note that at this moment, 11:59 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, the morning after Intel's earnings disappointment, with the DOW down 75 and the Nasdaq down 30, Clarent is not only in the green, it is up 8! EIGHT!! At 67 1/2, that is a 13.45% increase today alone.
What in the world is going on? Is it a takeover target, about to announce blow-out earnings, a stock split, or a brand new technology that will make it an instant category killer? I mean, I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth and should probably just enjoy it, but this price action makes me incredulous. I know that this is a hot sector, but no other company in IP telephony is acting like this. Since I'm more of a trader than a long-term holder, I'm wondering what to do about all this good fortune, and how best to capitalize on it.
So far, the wisest course of action has been indeed simply to accumulate on dips. Thank you, God!
Any insights from others about the movement here, divinely inspired or devilishly impudent? Don't want to bestow a halo prematurely here, but am definitely feeling a warm glow!
