I think NZRO is a good candidate to lock in quick profits over the short-haul via the QP expiration. But I also think it is sufficiently prospective by which to keep a long position.

I believe the emergence of other national free ISP models is a very positive sign and demonstrates there's a movement in the mill. Will the free ISPs ally against the paid ones? Will there be crossovers of one buying out the other? One thing is certain: Something's gonna happen!

And with AOL mucking up peoples' operating systems with its 5.0 download, among other areas of customer dissatisfaction, a tremendous disfavor among consumers inevitably will result. Especially given that these consumers will need to rely on the quality of their own operating systems in order to conduct ecommerce transactions. Moreover, it makes no sense to pay AOL just to walk into the store, which, in ecommerce, is the effect of AOL's high-cost subscription fees.

That the free ISP service is proving itself capable is noteworthy, and it will result in consolidation in both the free and paid ISP sector. First out of the gate into the market, with blessed support from Goldman Sachs and soon to release what I predict will be spectacular new sign-up numbers, NetZero will have a powerful role in any future consolidation initiatives.

In my view, all things considered, it's a good and practical short-term and long-term investment.
