Is there a long-distance charge with Globalstar? Is the price only $1.47 a minute (or $3.00 with roaming) anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world? If that is the case think of this. It costs about $2.50 a minute to make a call from India to US. (It only costs $1.18 from US to India from my calling card). So Globalstar is not that expensive.

And I think US-China rates are comparable.

Also, look at Sprint PCS coverage in New Jersey. There are so many holes in the coverage that one has to rely on analog which costs $0.63 for long distance call within US.
